Technical Support is much more than fixing computers. It’s about recognizing business needs and finding IT solutions to meet those needs. Reporting to the IT Manager, this junior technical support role requires that you work as part of the ACE POS Support Team to troubleshoot and provide remote IT support including installation, set-up and maintenance of point of sale systems. Suitable candidates will need to be comfortable on the phone integrating technical processes with customer service.

Junior Technical Support Analyst

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
* Utilize effective communication and listening skills with Clients and Colleagues to troubleshoot IT issues.
* Log, monitor and report all incidents and support-related tasks that come in through the support ticketing solution and/or over the phone.
* Provide remote desktop, email and phone support to users to assist with daily software/hardware support requirements and follow up to ensure client satisfaction.
* Set-up and support IT equipment and services for Clients and Colleagues.
* Manage and maintain all supported inventory of hardware, peripherals and systems in our Inventory Database.
* Assist in the preparation and management of the internal knowledge base.

Education and Professional Skills/Knowledge
* Working towards a College Diploma or University Degree in a Computer Science or in a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
* Entry-level position but any experience in similar end user software support role would be an asset.
* Experience in inventory and accounting software support would be an asset.
* Experience with retail point of sale systems considered an asset.

An ideal entry-level position for students interested in gaining real hands-on experience in the industry. Areas of study include; client and network operating systems, installation/management of software and system hardware, managing/installing active directories, communication and technical documentation.

E-Commerce Onboarding Specialist

Are you interested in working to get on-the-job experience this summer? ACE POS Solutions Ltd. has an immediate opening for a full-time e-commerce Onboarding Specialist position (full-time 40 hours / week).

Reporting to the Integration Manager, this junior support role requires that you work as part of the ACE POS Support Team to facilitate, lead and troubleshoot the entire onboarding process for new merchants on the TAKU eCommerce platform via live 1-on-1 remote support. You are responsible for crafting an exceptional experience for merchants as they bring their in store retail operations processes onto TAKU eCommerce.

Suitable candidates will need to be comfortable on the phone and writing in English or French to provide technical customer service. This is an important customer success role, especially during the pandemic, that requires the ability to manage customer expectations remotely, and diagnose and solve complex problems on the fly using critical thinking to ensure a successful launch and go-live. She/he must be able to work cross-functionally with multiple internal teams.

The ideal candidate will obsess over deadlines to ensure timely delivery of each step of the onboarding process and is comfortable with digital marketing tools including Google and the various social media platforms.

The most successful candidates will have the opportunity to define best practices and streamline our onboarding process by designing and creating published resources such as playbooks, presentations, videos, and other interactive course material.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

• Provide remote support to users to assist in the successful onboarding and launch of retail online stores.
• Work closely with the team to facilitate and lead the entire onboarding process for new merchants.

• Apply best practices and utilize onboarding resources to ensure the fastest launch and go-live possible.

• Collaborate with all stakeholders to create a seamless experience for our merchants as they move from data-upload, to set-up, delivery and go live.

• Assist in the preparation and management of the internal knowledge base.

Education and Professional Skills/Knowledge
• Working towards a College Diploma or University Degree in a technical discipline.
• Entry-level position but any experience in similar end user software support role would be an asset.
• Experience in inventory and accounting software support would be an asset.
• Experience with retail point-of-sale systems or e-commerce platforms considered an asset.
